Naperville and Chicago Cake Smash Photographer – First Birthday Photos –

Camden and his family came to see me to celebrate his first birthday with a cake smash session. This session is about one year old but it has been one of my all-time favorites. He was just such a joy to work with and LOVED his cake. My daughter Sophia named him the “blue boy”. He got so much into his cake that his parents had a hard time washing the blue frosting off his feet, hands, and feet. This session was one of the ones that were featured in BBC NEWS.  I still remember thinking it was a scam when I got the email from BBC News telling them they wanted to use some of my photos and videos for an article they were working on about Cake Smashes. I was so excited when I realized it wasn’t a scam.

My cake smash sessions take place in my Naperville studio. One year cake smash sessions will have a little bit of everything.  First, we start out with a clean baby wearing a favorite outfit and take a formal one year picture. Then, we will change baby into his cake smash outfit, I will take photos of the beautiful cake and then, lets the fun begging. This part of the session will go by faster than you think. In just a few minutes that beautiful cake will be covering the floor and the baby!
