Baby Melissa is a very special baby for my family and me. She is the sister of my daughter’s best friend and they are like family to us. I also photographed her when she was just a newborn and she also rocked her newborn session in my Naperville studio.
All the outfits in these photos are available for my customers to borrow so Meli also served as a little model. Over the years, I have been acquiring outfits and props so that my customers have one less thing to worry about. Life is busy.
This cream vintage outfit was handmade by my mom.
And look how much different 9 months make. Precious little sisters. I love the privilege of seeing my families grow.
And of course, Sophia had to jump in for a few photos with her BFF. I love their friendship. When Ari moved here from Italy, she didn’t speak any English but that didn’t stop them from becoming BFF right away. BTW, they meet at Happy Times preschool . If you are in the Naperville area and are looking for an amazing, nurturing school for your little one, I highly recommend that school.
They ran around my studio grabbing all the flowers they could find and make bouquets for their photos. They are so adorable together. Sophia is wearing one of the ballet outfits she wore for one of her ballet recitals. She loves ballet as much as I did.
These sessions are perfect for those first-year milestones. They are typically done at 3 months (or when holding head up), 6 months (or when sitting), 9 months (or when crawling), and 12 months (or when standing or walking) and take place in the comfort of my home studio close to Downtown Naperville. Most milestone sessions are about an hour but can be less or more depending on your baby’s needs.
